FLOWERS & PEOPLE

I was watching a flower come to life the other day and it was very magical and unexplainable. this got me thinking any flower that is not watered and nurtured would eventually wither and die away.
it reminded me of a young girl who is not watered & nurtured with wisdom would eventually die away IE, fall into the hands of the wrong people, get bad advice &make wrong choices.
I am also thinking of a very brilliant mind that is not properly utilised & watered would also wither away. because as the saying goes "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" also i have another "an idle mind is the devil's workshop" A mind that is redundant & static would eventually pack up & die .
A funny thot just came to me, "marriage" you know marriage is the most neglected flower in this garden of life because most times especially in our generation, we jump in & jump out for the wrong and right reasons depending on whose side u belong; some base the foundation of their marriage on culture, tribe, others on religion, ethnicity, & even skin color but even with all once it is not nurtured and watered with love , patience, charity and tolerance it would die off just like a flower without water.
Another interesting part of our garden is our interactions daily with each other. people cultivate relationships for different reasons; business, friendship & etc..... no matter your reason you still to nurture it,because ,once a relationship lacks commitment on both sides it eventually frizzles out.
So as humans in this wonderful garden called life we need nurturing and watering because you don't know who would be your next source of energy we need each other to survive........

Frustration of the working class...JETBLUE example

earlier this week a flight attendant let out his frustration at an obnoxious passenger who was rude to him and he fled the plane, but was later arrested but granted bail. while airline pays the passengers on that flight "compensation" for their troubles saying it's their policy. now the is agog with various sites praising him, immortalizing, dramatization of the whole incidence. this situation has now brought to fore the inevitable question, what happened? that the working class is lashing out, people don't respect honest working individuals, places of employment have become graveyards of dreams and aspirations...........hmmm all these make stop and ponder on what the future holds for us, because if this can happen in America;the supposed most powerful nation in the world?! I wonder what is happening in our 'developing" nation? just my thots

MUCH ADO ABOUT NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

It is only fair to talk about New Year’s resolution because this the first post for this year, so I will say happy New Year (covers face). At the end of the year 2013, I had a working idea of how my year would be like so as 2014 came, I had armed myself with different resolutions which I would run with throughout the year. I did everything right, I thought long and hard about the resolution, how I will go about it, what will I need to make it work , you name it I thought of it. But the first quarter of the year is coming to an end and wait for it….drum roll… I have not achieved or even attempted one, the book I wrote it on is nowhere to be found.  I know *rolls eyes*, everyone I tell is shaking their head at me, but I know I am not alone in my fool’s paradise; we are many out there and it cuts across tribes, race and even continents because the abandonment of new year’s resolution before the end of the first quarter of the year is a known phenomenon, but what is the essence ...

New Leadership Series with Chude Jideonwo: Soaring On the Wings of Hope

By Chude Jideonwo A lot of Nigerians who want to try and change their country and who have a zeal to do so are being discouraged by the myriad of challenges that abound.  There’s the school of thought that there’s so much to do but few people willing and able to do them. The idea is that the situation in the country is so hopeless and there is nothing we can do. I have been there many times, and not too long ago. I have spent the past eight years of my life working for country in one way or the other, and trying to sell hope and working to build platforms for my generation to impact the country, but very frequently I find myself so terribly disillusioned. It feels like I cannot succeed where, to rely on recent history, Gani Fawehinmi, Chinua Achebe,Aminu Kano and others have failed. At those times, I have managed to inspire myself by reminding myself of five times in my life when I have felt such an incredible sense of hope and faith – in myself, in my countrymen and in change...
