MUCH ADO ABOUT NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

It is only fair to talk about New Year’s resolution because this the first post for this year, so I will say happy New Year (covers face). At the end of the year 2013, I had a working idea of how my year would be like so as 2014 came, I had armed myself with different resolutions which I would run with throughout the year.
I did everything right, I thought long and hard about the resolution, how I will go about it, what will I need to make it work , you name it I thought of it. But the first quarter of the year is coming to an end and wait for it….drum roll… I have not achieved or even attempted one, the book I wrote it on is nowhere to be found.
I know *rolls eyes*, everyone I tell is shaking their head at me, but I know I am not alone in my fool’s paradise; we are many out there and it cuts across tribes, race and even continents because the abandonment of new year’s resolution before the end of the first quarter of the year is a known phenomenon, but what is the essence of my endless ramble I hear you ask? Just wait I am getting there soon.
I just found a way to combat mine, how? You ask, I will tell you…… *reshuffling* is the key to your problem. If you are like me and you can procrastinate for Africa then this is for you. First you reshuffle your goals by putting the ones with the shortest time frame first, if anyone involves spending money like mine does pick the one with less money to spend and lastly just do it, go for it, it’s your life, it’s for your own improvement, think of how it would be beneficial to you and don’t over think it, Just do it.
Everyone wants to feel that they have done something with their life, albeit how little it is, you don’t want to look back at 2014 and say *chai I should have don’t that oh or you see someone living your dream because you didn’t follow your resolutions. Me I am taking a leaf from my book and facing mine by writing this random thot and posting it.

Don’t allow someone else live your life, get up and face your resolutions……. Till next time… keep hope alive.

Taking Parental Guidance in “PG” More Seriously

By Penshy The new year comes with its own brand of drama. The world is never really drama free is it? We find ourselves asking questions like- will Kim Kardashian ever marry again? How many men does it take to screw in a light bulb? Is it now socially acceptable to expose children to nudity? It’s a known fact that we should adopt some kind of caution when it comes to exposing children to matters of the opposite sex and sex in general, but it seems with the age we are in, extra care has to be taken. We have the fashion industry, which looks more like its American and French counterparts day by day, promoting the showing of more skin, and then the music industry that more often than not teach our kids words like: “sarkodie” which means a vulgar and inappropriate thing in English. Not that these songs aren’t hits, but they have PG written all over them. Your kids don’t know what PG means, but you do. My aunt would definitely agree with me after her 5 year old told her friends “my m...

Incredible Life

Incredible life We go through life automatically everyday without thinking about how we sleep or wake up. Also we just say prayers automatically without giving it a thought. I once participated in an exercise where we were asked to time the exact moment we fell asleep, but alas !I can tell you that nobody could get the exact time! That exercise brought to my mind how this world we live in is nothing because on the long run every thing that happens we really cannot say this is how it really is, I seriously do not care much for scientific explanations "tongue out". The long and short of this is, this life is not explanable, it's to short and not so big. If you want to enjoy it, this is what you do: 1. Stop and smell the flowers once in a while 2. Go for Monthly or Quaterly medical check ups 3. Fall in love and enjoy it 4. Make love and kiss a lot 5. Quarrel less and make friends 6. Value your family and loved ones 7. Above all believe and love God your creator an...

Frustration of the working class...JETBLUE example

earlier this week a flight attendant let out his frustration at an obnoxious passenger who was rude to him and he fled the plane, but was later arrested but granted bail. while airline pays the passengers on that flight "compensation" for their troubles saying it's their policy. now the is agog with various sites praising him, immortalizing, dramatization of the whole incidence. this situation has now brought to fore the inevitable question, what happened? that the working class is lashing out, people don't respect honest working individuals, places of employment have become graveyards of dreams and aspirations...........hmmm all these make stop and ponder on what the future holds for us, because if this can happen in America;the supposed most powerful nation in the world?! I wonder what is happening in our 'developing" nation? just my thots
